"Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for You are my praise." Jeremiah 17:14 JENNIFER
| Matthew 18:11 ........ For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost….
Meet Jennifer. As one of six siblings, Jennifer spent her childhood trying to earn the love of her dysfunctional, drug addicted family. After many heartaches, bad relationships, and disappointments she gave up and gave in to her own drug use which eventually resulted in a prison sentence and the loss of her children. Leaving there in anger and frustration, she could not run from God for long. He found her and led her to Miracle Center. Her life has been transformed by the unconditional love of God and now she ministers at the Miracle Center as the Interim Director. |
CYNDI | 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone be in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, behold all things have become new. Cyndi is a living testimony to that fact. She has been set free from a 20 year drug and alcohol addiction. She was raised in the church but did not have the loving family to support what she was taught. Her mother was a harsh displinarian and her father an alcoholic. Cyndi was the middle child of five. She ran the streets getting high and not facing responsibilities. When she got married, she became a closet meth user, looking the part of the good wife, but heavily using in the background. When her marriage ended, Cyndi returned to the street life and became involved in crime to pay for her increasing habit. She soon found herself incarcerated in Federal Prison. While in prison, Cyndi cried out to God. He answered her prayer and shortly after being released she was led to the Miracle Center where she grew in relationship with Jesus. Cyndi now has a new outlook and experiences His amazing love, joy and peace in her life. She now works at the Miracle Center Thrift Store and is a constant reminder of what God can do in a broken life. |
SHELLY | Luke 5:38-39 And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved.
I am 45 years old and have struggled with alcohol addiction for the past 10 years. This is my 3rd time in recovery. The thing that is different this time is my relationship with Jesus. When I came to the Miracle Center from Compass, I had three goals: Learn more about God, stay sober and NOT make friends. I was completely broken with walls 10 feet high. I knew that God did not love me, but really hoped that He would give me one more chance. With the love and support of the staff at Miracle Center, I came to realize that Jesus not only loved me but wanted to have a relationship with me. I was raised in the Church but have come to know what it really means to surrender to the Lord and allow Him to make me brand new. And that is what He has done. I have been delivered from the cravings of alcohol, and am on the road to reconciliation with my 4 daughters. And yes, I made wonderful lasting friendships at Miracle Center! So when I feel down, I just have to remember that no matter what, Jesus Loves Me! |
